MAY 1, 2021 - Fort Laurens Museum is open for the 2021 season . Tour the museum, which explores the life and experience of soldiers stationed at Fort Laurens. Dress up like a soldier or lady of he Revolution at the  interactive dress-up station, and meet Revolutionary War soldiers. Fort Laurens is now open, with special at-risk hours Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Masks are required of all guests during this time period.

May 31, 2020 Village of Bolivar Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony - steps off at 10 AM from Tuscarawas Valley Intermediate School in Bolivar and marches to Fort Laurens Cemetery

   To honor those soldiers that died in service to our country, Fort Laurens is holding a luminary ceremony. the fort outline will be filled with luminaries that hold the names of fallen U.S. soldiers that have been given to us by the public. We will kick off the ceremony with a presentation on the history and importance of Memorial Day at 6:30 PM and conclude at 7:30 PM with the playing of Taps. July 17-18 , 2021 - Revolution on the Tuscarawas -    Ready, Aim, Fire! Travel back in time and spend a weekend at Fort Laurens during Revolution on the Tuscarawas: Revolutionary War Encampment and Reenactment which will be set up very similar to last year’s tour style. Meet soldiers from both sides of the conflict, learn about early American life, and more! There will be demonstrations of 18th century Music, Artillery, Cooking, Medicine and much more. Tours of Fort Laurens Museum and grounds will run during both days. To close out the event, watch a mock battle for American Independence. Admission for the event is $10/for adults and $5 for children 12 & under. Hours for the event are Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.  

  All proceeds proceeds go toward the preservation and educational efforts of Fort Laurens.

Oct. 2, 2021 - Pumpkin Festival 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM- This festival will be a marrying of the colonial importance of the pumpkin with its modern day popularity. There will be pumpkin themed games, foods, and activities along with Revolutionary War reenactors.


Oct. 15, 2021 - Archaeology  Day - 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM This is another of our school day events that will teach about archaeology and how it was used at Fort Laurens. This will be a full day of mock digs, games and learning.

October 22nd & 23rd - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM -Spooky S’more Tour our version of a ghost tour includes a delicious snack at the end. Listen to all the ghost stories around fort Laurens to collect each part of the s’more. At the end of the tour, you can put it all together and listen to tales of old around the campfire.

Nov. ?, 2021 NO PLAN YET Veterans’ Day Ceremony at Tomb of Unknown Patriot  and Luncheon 11:00AM - 1:00 PM    Join Fort Laurens Museum as we honor the sacrifices of veterans, both past and present, in this intimate wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Patriot. The program includes an honor and color guard, a keynote speaker, and the wreath laying ceremony held at 11am. Immediately following the ceremony, a lunch provided by of the Friends of Fort Laurens will occur. This event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Friends of Fort Laurens Foundation
